Saudi aid agency distributes food baskets in Mali

BAMAKO: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center recently distributed 300 food baskets to host-community members and people in need in the municipality of

Dougoufry, in Mali’s Ségou Region, benefiting 1,800 individuals.

The handout is part of the center’s 2026 food aid project in Mali, one of a series of relief and humanitarian initiatives Saudi Arabia is implementing through KSrelief, its humanitarian arm, to support the Malian people and ease their hardship and suffering.

Elsewhere, almost 500 people in Yemen benefited from services provided by the prosthetics and rehabilitation center project in Marib governorate in May.

The project, supported by Saudi aid agency KSrelief, delivered 1,559 services during the month. Of the total number of patients, 67 percent were male while 80 percent were internally displaced people rather than residents.

Services included the manufacture, fitting and rehabilitation of prosthetic limbs, physical therapy, and specialized consultations.

The project is part of humanitarian initiatives provided by Saudi Arabia to strengthen the health care sector and help alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
