MINA: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, through the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visit, continues intensive awareness and guidance programs during the Hajj season.
More than 1,822 preachers carried out over 120,168 dawah and awareness activities in pilgrims’ camps and in the mosques of Makkah, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
Electronic screens broadcast more than 4.36 million multilingual awareness messages covering Hajj rituals and guidance.
The ministry also sent over 22 million text messages to pilgrims in the holy sites with Hajj rulings and instructions, while the unified toll-free hotline received more than 582,108 calls, answered by more than 230 preachers and 30 translators in more than 14 languages.
It continues to provide visual religious guidance services in more than 40 languages. The ministry said that dawah and guidance services will continue throughout the Hajj season to help pilgrims perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
