- Pilgrims arrive at the tent city of Mina, roughly 8 km away from the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
- Pilgrims spend the day and night in Mina in prayers and supplication.

Arafat — 9th of Dhul Hijjah
- Pilgrims make their way to Arafat, which is roughly 14 km away from Mina.
- Pilgrims stay in the desert plains of Arafat, a central pillar of Hajj, praying and repenting, until after sunset on the same day.

Muzdalifah — 9th of Dhul Hijjah
- Pilgrims make their way to Muzdalifah, a valley between Mina and Mount Arafat.
- Pilgrims spend the night out in the open, and also gather small pebbles, to be used in a special ritual, the “Stoning of the Devil,” in the Jamarat in Mina.

Mina — 10th of Dhul Hijjah
- After dawn prayers, pilgrims leave Muzdalifah and proceed to Mina.
- Pilgrims perform first stoning of Jamarat Al-Aqaba.

Grand Mosque — 10th, 12th of Dhul Hijjah
- Pilgrims return to Makkah and head to the Grand Mosque.
- Pilgrims perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah (circumambulation of the Kaaba) and Sa’i between Safa and Marwah.

Mina — 11th ,12th, 13th of Dhul Hijjah
- Pilgrims stone all three Jamarat pillars (Al-Ula, Al-Wusta, and Al-Aqaba) over three days.
- Pilgrims use the previously collected pebbles to stone the three pillars representing the devil.

Makkah
- Pilgrims head to Makkah and perform Tawaf Al-Wida (farewell circumambulation of the Kaaba).
- The pilgrimage culminates and pilgrims leave Makkah.
