During the weekend, a friend invited me to discover a new burger spot, Place, located on Prince Sultan Road in Jeddah.
Upon stepping inside, the restaurant gives off a grab-and-go vibe, though there is a dine-in area on the second floor.
The interior follows a minimalist style designed in white and red. The space is bright and airy, defined by clean lines and an open, industrial-chic touch. Soft gray chairs are paired with simple square tables, creating a casual yet comfortable atmosphere.
I tried the truffle burger, and as someone who appreciates all things truffle, I can confidently say it is worth trying. The burger was juicy and fresh, with a rich truffle flavor that truly elevates the experience. The bun was soft, and the burger features two layers of smashed beef topped with rocca leaves and cheese. It was delicious overall.
My only critique would be that the size in relation to the price at SR29 ($7.8) could have been slightly larger.
The bacon burger was also enjoyable, with caramelized onions, lettuce and the restaurant’s special sauce.
We paired the burgers with Place fries, a combination of French fries topped with jalapenos, special sauce and crispy onions. The fries were well seasoned with herbs, adding flavor even to the sauceless bites.
As expected at a burger joint, we complemented the meal with Coca-Cola. The overall experience was simple, light and enjoyable, and it is certainly a place I would visit again.
