JEDDAH: Muslim World League Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa recently met in Kuala Lumpur with senior Malaysian scholars from across the country, led by Sheikh Ahmad Fauwaz Fadzil, grand mufti of Malaysia.

The meeting was followed by a discussion session on themes from Al-Issa’s scholarly lecture, as well as other issues of interest to the broader Islamic world.

Earlier, the MWL chief met Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur. The discussions focused on Islamic and international issues aligned with the league’s mission, including promoting dialogue and cooperation.

They also addressed preparations for a third summit of religious leaders, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur soon. The summit will coincide with the fourth session of the ASEAN Council of Scholars, an MWL initiative to enhance regional scholarly collaboration.
