Malaysia’s PM meets Muslim World League’s chief in Kuala Lumpur

  • Discussions focus on range of Islamic, international issues

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa at the presidential palace in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Discussions between the parties focused on a range of Islamic and international issues aligned with the league’s mission and objectives, including efforts to promote dialogue and cooperation.

The talks also addressed preparations for a third summit of religious leaders, which is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur in the near future.

The summit will coincide with the fourth session of the ASEAN Council of Scholars, an initiative established by the MWL to boost scholarly collaboration across the region.
