RIYADH: The dialysis center at Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu in Somalia continued providing medical services to patients with support from the Saudi aid agency KSrelief.
During March, the center treated 355 patients. Of these, 165 patients underwent 1,057 scheduled dialysis sessions and 11 emergency sessions, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Meanwhile, 190 patients were given consultations and medical examinations at the nephrology clinic.
Males accounted for 65 percent of beneficiaries, while females represented 35 percent. Internally displaced persons accounted for 5 percent, residents 94 percent, and refugees 1 percent of the total.
The program is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian projects to strengthen the healthcare sector and alleviate the suffering of the Somali people.
