Dubai authorities said on Saturday no injuries were reported after debris fell on the facade of an Oracle building in the emirate’s Internet City following an aerial interception.
“Authorities confirm that they responded to a minor incident caused by debris from an aerial interception that fell on the facade of the Oracle building in Dubai Internet City. No injuries were reported,” the Dubai Media Office said on X.
Oracle featured on a list of 18 US companies Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has vowed to target in retaliation for attacks on the country.
Dubai authorities also reported no fire or injuries from debris falling on the facade of a building in the city’s Marina area following an interception.
An Egyptian citizen was killed and four people suffered minor injuries after debris from an intercepted attack fell on Abu Dhabi’s Habshan gas facilities on Friday, Abu Dhabi’s media office said. Twelve individuals were also injured after debris fell in the emirate’s Ajban area.
Shrapnel from intercepted drones injures four in Bahrain
Shrapnel from intercepted drones injured four people in Bahrain, authorities said on Saturday, as Iran pressed its attacks on its Gulf neighbors.
Bahrain’s interior ministry said on X: “As a result of Iranian aggression, 4 citizens sustained minor injuries & several houses in Sitra were damaged by shrapnel from the interception of Iranian drones.”
It added that civil defense and ambulance teams were still present at the site.
Bahrain’s defense ministry has intercepted eight drones in the past few hours, a post on their X account noted.
