RIYADH: The Saudi capital is on Wednesday set to host the final stage of the Kingdom’s Belt championship at the Mike Tyson Club in Boulevard City.
The three-day event serves as the culmination of an extensive competitive journey that saw 429 male and female boxers, representing 50 clubs from across the Kingdom, compete in the preliminary rounds.
Following several rounds marked by intense rivalry, only 78 competitors managed to secure places in the final stage, representing 20 clubs in the ultimate battle for the gold belts.
The Saudi Boxing Federation emphasized that this championship is a fundamental pillar of its local development strategy, aimed at evaluating the technical capabilities of clubs and preparing top national talent to represent the Kingdom in upcoming international arenas. According to the federation, the qualification of this elite group ensures a level of performance that reflects the dvelopment of Saudi boxing.
The competition will conclude on Friday, April 3 with an official coronation ceremony for the winners of the Kingdom’s Champion titles across various weight classes.
