RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s aid agency KSrelief has launched the second phase of its emergency food intervention project in Yemen’s Shabwa governorate.
The project aims to distribute 11,160 food baskets, benefiting 78,120 individuals, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
Shabwa Deputy Gov. Ahmed Al-Daghari praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts, through KSrelief, to enhance food security for the most vulnerable and displaced groups.
He stressed the importance of distributing aid to alleviate residents’ suffering.
Separately, KSrelief’s mobile clinics treated 679 beneficiaries in one month in the Abs district of the Hajjah governorate.
The facilities addressed epidemiological cases and provided emergency, internal medicine, and reproductive health services.
KSrelief also continued its implementation of water supply and environmental sanitation projects in Al-Khawkhah district of Hodeidah governorate.
In one month, more than 3.5 million liters of water for domestic use were pumped, along with 448,000 liters of potable water for tankers.
