Saudi Arabia’s Asir records highest rainfall at Abha airport

ABHA: The Asir region recorded the highest rainfall amounts in the Kingdom, reaching 52.0 mm at Abha airport.

This was followed by 50.8 mm in Al-Fawhah in Balqarn, 40.2 mm in Al-Tamam in Abha, 37.8 mm in both Tayyib in Abha and Al-Asran in Sarat Abidah, 35.8 mm in Al-Aserah in Al-Namas, 31.6 mm in North Al-Bashair in Balqarn, and 20.6 mm in both Al-Shaaf in Abha and the airbase in Khamis Mushait.

According to the daily report of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on rainfall monitoring across all regions of the Kingdom, 63 hydrological and climatological monitoring stations recorded rainfall over the past hours in nine regions: Riyadh, Makkah, Eastern Province, Asir, Tabuk, Northern Borders, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha.
