RIYADH: Eid festivities are illuminating cities across Saudi Arabia with vibrant cultural events, fireworks, entertainment events and traditional decorations, marking a joyous end to Ramadan.
Ain Zubaidah in Makkah is hosting a diverse program of cultural and entertainment events in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The activities, supervised by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, are designed to enrich the experience of residents and visitors.
The events run along a open-air route that blends heritage with modern entertainment. The program includes comedy segments, interactive competitions, and sports activities, with dedicated activities for children and families.
The festivities conclude with firework displays, adding to the celebratory spirit of Eid Al-Fitr.
Jeddah waterfront promenade drew a remarkable turnout as residents and visitors gathered to enjoy the vibrant and diverse atmosphere.
Attendees enthusiastically explored the promenade’s pathways and streets, immersing themselves in programs that celebrated the city’s most iconic landmarks.
The festivities offered a diverse array of activities, including children’s games, competitions, interactive cultural programs, special promotions from restaurants and cafes, and a variety of other entertainment options.
Riyadh too has been adorned with special decorative arrangements. Kingdom Tower, one of the city’s great landmarks, lights up during the night in various colors bearing greetings.

“Boulevard is as always an amazing experience in the capital especially this festive season with Eid activities, it is a must-visit place,” Abdullah Ali, a Riyadh resident, told Arab News.
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority has launched a three-day festive program celebrating Eid Al-Fitr from March 20-22.
The historic At‑Turaif District in Diriyah serves as a central hub, featuring the Saudi Ardah dance at Salwa Palace and the “Hal Al-Qusoor” program, which uses interactive storytelling to highlight the history of the first Saudi state.
Festivities extend to Diriyah’s other districts, featuring traditional celebrations, folk performances, and family-friendly entertainment.
Eid Al-Fitr celebrations in Hail feature traditional Saudi Ardah performances, organized by the Hail Municipality, which drew large crowds of visitors to Al-Adham Park.
Performers took part in the traditional dances, accompanied by national songs and rhythmic chants that reflect the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, delighting attendees throughout.
Al-Baha’s Wadi Al-Hamda is drawing visitors with its natural beauty. The valley is one of the area’s most striking natural sites, where water flows between the rock formations and cascades through the valley’s channels, creating breathtaking scenes.
“The beautiful valley is renowned for its rich biodiversity, with wild plants and seasonal herbs thriving along its banks. Its clear waters are home to various wildlife and water birds, hence attracting tourists. It is a favorite destination for both locals and visitors, who are drawn to its pleasant climate and breathtaking scenery,” Mohammad Faisal, professor of plant biotechnology and environmental ecology at King Saud University, who has visited the region for research purposes, told Arab News.
Umluj Beach in Tabuk region is also seeing a significant influx of visitors, as citizens and residents flock to enjoy the mild sea breeze and the area’s stunning coastal beauty, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Families gathered along the waterfront and the lush green spaces lining the corniche, enjoying picnics, relaxing on the beach, and taking part in recreational activities in the open squares and children’s play areas.
The pedestrian walkways were bustling with visitors, while young people filled the open sports fields, taking part in a variety of activities.
The sandy beaches of the Eastern Region, stretching along the Arabian Gulf, are also among the Kingdom’s premier tourist and recreational destinations.
The waterfronts of Dammam, Alkhobar, Qatif, Ras Tanura, and Jubail are attracting vacationers seeking relaxation and fun along the beautiful beaches and well-equipped facilities.
“The seafront beaches are drawing visitors of all ages as well as families to enjoy a wide range of recreational activities such as beach and water sports, boating, horse-drawn carriage rides, motorbike adventures, and fishing,” Arif Anwar, an Alkhobar, resident told Arab News.
The Royal Commission for AlUla has hosted a series of Eid events which took place across several key locations, including the cultural oasis, offering a comprehensive experience that combined family activities, cultural performances, and culinary delights.
These festivities fostered greater community engagement and enriched the visitor experience throughout the Eid holidays.
