SOUTH KORDOFAN STATE: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has distributed 520 food baskets to returnee families in South Kordofan state of Sudan.
This initiative is part of Kingdom’s broader humanitarian efforts to enhance food security and alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people during the current crisis.

Sudan is witnessing a brutal civil war between the army and the paramilitary troops.

Earlier this year, “Save The Children” group said in a report that around half of all school-age children in the country, or more than 8 million, are no longer in education because of the conflict, in one of the world’s worst education crises.

“Right now the international community is failing the children of Sudan,” Inger Ashing, the CEO of Save the Children International, one of the largest charities operating in the country, told reporters.
