JERUSALEM: A man was killed in central Israel after the latest round of Iranian missile fire, medics said Thursday, bringing the death toll in the country from the ongoing war to 15.
The Magen David Adom emergency services described the victim as a “foreign worker” and said he was killed in Moshav Adanim, about 20 kilometers northeast of Tel Aviv.
“Metal shrapnel was scattered across the scene, and nearby lay a man...unconscious and suffering from severe shrapnel injuries,” MDA medic Idan Shina said in a statement.
“The injuries were very severe, and unfortunately we had to pronounce him dead at the scene,” Shina added.
Shortly before the death, Israel’s military said it had identified another round of missile fire headed toward the country from Iran and was “operating to intercept the threat.”
