KSrelief launches educational course at Zaatari Camp

  • The course included instruction on a range of vocational handicraft activities — including sewing, embroidery, and drawing — the culinary arts, and remedial lessons for students from primary through secondary levels

RIYADH: The Saudi Community Service Center, an affiliate of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, recently held its 36th training course at the Zaatari Camp for Syrian refugees in Jordan.

The course included instruction on a range of vocational handicraft activities — including sewing, embroidery, and drawing — the culinary arts, and remedial lessons for students from primary through secondary levels.

It also included literacy courses, as well as lessons on the Holy Qur’an, Islamic ethics, and English.

The program aims to develop refugees’ academic and life skills and enhance their self-reliance. A total of 255 trainees benefited from the program.

Prince Faisal holds phone talks with Indonesian and Pakistani counterparts

MUNICH: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, held separate telephone conversations on Saturday with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugyono and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

The discussions focused on bilateral relations and a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
