RIYADH: The Saudi cabinet on Tuesday authorized the Minister of Energy to negotiate and sign draft agreements on peaceful nuclear and atomic energy cooperation with the governments of Jordan and Turkey.
The cabinet also approved a high-speed electric rail agreement with Qatar, visa exemption agreements with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mongolia, a cultural cooperation memorandum with Uzbekistan, and a health cooperation memorandum with Syria.
The session, chaired by King Salman, reviewed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and visits with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, highlighting strengthened bilateral relations.
The session addressed regional security and stability, emphasizing Saudi support for the Gaza ceasefire, and the “Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh.”
