RIYADH: The Health Endowment Fund and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority have signed an agreement to ensure effective financing for ambulance services across the Kingdom.
The agreement builds on both organizations’ efforts to develop a sustainable financing system for the nonprofit health sector and enhance the effectiveness of endowment initiatives for ambulance services.
It also aims to improve emergency response readiness, addressing ambulance transport, pre-hospital care, and responses to accidents and disasters, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
The fund seeks to engage the community and donors in supporting ambulance services through an endowment model that ensures sustainability while promoting governance and transparency.
This will be achieved through monitoring and disbursement mechanisms that allocate funds for ambulance services according to approved regulatory frameworks, the SPA stated.
