AMMAN: Jordan’s foreign minister Ayman Safadi spoke on the phone on Friday with Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Shaibani to discuss the latest developments in Syria.
Safadi reaffirmed Jordan’s support for the Syrian government’s efforts to preserve the country’s security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to ensure the safety of its people, the Jordan News Agency reported.
Both ministers stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries and continuing joint efforts to expand cooperation in ways that serve the interests of Jordan and Syria and reflect the depth of their fraternal ties.
