RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a visit to the US on Wednesday, Saudi Press Agency reported.
During the meeting, Prince Faisal and Rubio reviewed the historical and strategic relations between their countries and ways to develop them in a manner that serves their common interests. The latest developments in the region and efforts made to achieve security and stability were also discussed.
Rubio said in an X post after the meeting that discussions included ”continued coordination in support of Middle Eastern security and stability, including in Gaza, Yemen, Sudan, and Syria.”

Earlier, Prince Faisal met with the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Brian Mast and Congressman Gregory Meeks.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Kingdom’s ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi-US relations and ways to strengthen and develop them were discussed, SPA reported.
The talks also covered regional and international developments and efforts being made to address them.
