RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday during a visit to Cairo, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to El-Sisi and the Egyptian people.
The president responded by conveying his greetings and appreciation to the king and crown prince, wishing the Kingdom’s government and people further progress and prosperity.
Prince Faisal and El-Sisi reviewed Saudi-Egyptian relations and discussed the latest regional and international developments, SPA added.
According to an Egyptian Presidency statement, El-Sisi and Prince Faisal stressed their countries held “identical” positions on “reaching peaceful solutions to the region’s crises.”
They said solutions must “preserve the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of states,” singling out Sudan, Yemen, Somalia and the Gaza Strip.

Later, Prince Faisal met with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty and they discussed issues of common interest.
The two officials discussed the latest regional and international developments, with particular focus on the situation in Sudan, Yemen, Somalia and Palestine.
