JEDDAH: The Egyptian Products Exhibition opens next week at the Exhibitions and Events Center in Jeddah.

The expo, which runs from Jan. 7-17, provides a showcase for a host of products from the North African nation, including textiles, garments, bags, footwear, medical apparel and handicrafts.

It also serves as a platform for companies to connect with potential partners and in doing so helps to raise awareness of the industrial capabilities of Saudi Arabia and Egypt and boost trade.

Organized as part of ongoing efforts to support trade and industry in the region, the show is expected to draw large crowds.

Pakistan prime minister arrives in Jeddah

RIYADH: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz and other officials.
