MAKKAH: Makkah Municipality, in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and volunteers, has launched an initiative to clean natural reserves south of the holy city.
The plan is part of a broader program focused on protecting natural resources and enhancing the landscape, aligning with national goals to improve quality of life and foster community engagement.
Volunteers will assist in waste removal and upgrading natural facilities, reflecting increased public awareness of environmental conservation, the Saudi Press Agency reported recently.
The initiative aims to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, ensuring these reserves remain safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.
The municipality plans further initiatives focused on raising environmental awareness and enhancing Makkah’s urban landscape.
