Saudi water sustainability conference sees a package of high-quality agreements on 1st day  

RIYADH: The first day of the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference 2025, which runs in Jeddah from Dec. 8 to 10, witnessed the signing of several significant agreements supporting modern technologies and sustainability initiatives. 

Nine agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed on the opening day between governmental, private, and academic entities. 

The Saudi Water Authority signed six cooperation agreements focused on innovation, technology development, and improving service efficiency. These included technical agreements with the General Irrigation Corp., the Singapore Water Association, the National Polyethylene Co., and Arabian Qudra Co., in addition to an MoU with the Sekaya Charitable Foundation and a joint training agreement with Waad Al Shamal Co. and Riah Al Ghat Energy Co. 

The conference also saw the signing of three additional agreements with participating entities, including an agreement between Tilden Co. and the Alliance Water Co., an agreement between the Sekaya Charitable Foundation and GI Aqua Tech, as well as a tripartite cooperation agreement between the King Abdulaziz Endowment for the Ain Al Aziziyah Water Project, the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. 

The conference serves as a key platform for showcasing innovative solutions, exchanging expertise, and fostering strategic partnerships in the water sector. Further initiatives and agreements supporting the sector’s future and enhancing its efficiency and sustainability are expected to be announced.
