RIYADH: More than 20 agreements were signed at the Saudi General Aviation Airshow 2025, Sand and Fun, with a total value exceeding SR250 million ($66.7 million)
Other agreements related to the sale and purchase of equipment and spare parts, as well as commercial deals that have not yet been disclosed, were also reached.
Speaking to Al-Eqtisadiah, Ahmed Al-Fahaid, board member and general supervisor of the Saudi Aviation Club, said the exhibition featured specialized workshops on safety, an introduction to the aviation sector, and aircraft manufacturing and assembly techniques.
He added that it included major deals in future aviation and drones, including a significant agreement with investors, the details of which have not yet been disclosed. Its value is expected to exceed SR7 billion and will be announced within the next two months.
Al-Fahaid explained that the exhibition’s numbers, which concluded yesterday, reflect the scale of the achievement, with more than 150 exhibitors participating, around 50 percent of whom were international entities.
He confirmed that many companies expressed admiration for the organization and professional level of the exhibition.
Collecting feedback to develop the exhibition
Al-Fahaid noted that visitor turnout exceeded expectations, with more than 60,000 visitors on Nov. 28 alone and over 2,000 cars at the site.
He emphasized that the organizing committee focused on enhancing the visitor experience, ensuring smooth entry, adequate services, and dedicated areas for rest, food, and beverages, in addition to a children’s zone that attracted strong family participation.
