Kingdom expands aid efforts across 4 countries

RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues to provide critical assistance to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

In Yemen, the KSrelief-supported prosthetics and rehabilitation center in Hadramout governorate provided medical services to 519 amputees over the course of a month, delivering 1,925 services including measuring, manufacturing, and fitting prosthetics; delivery and maintenance of prosthetics; rehabilitation; and physiotherapy.

KSrelief also distributed 1,250 cartons of dates to people in need in the districts of Al-Shihr and Ghayl Bawazir in Hadramout, benefiting 7,500 individuals.

In Somalia, KSrelief distributed 1,000 food baskets, aiding 6,000 individuals, while in Sudan, 550 food baskets were given out in Red Sea state.

In Afghanistan, the agency distributed 840 food baskets and cartons of dates in Balkh province, helping hundreds of needy families.

Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 3,881 projects in 109 countries at a total cost of more than $8.2 billion. Its efforts cover key sectors including food security, health, education, water and sanitation, shelter, and early recovery.
