LONDON: Saudi aid agency KSrelief distributed food baskets to hundreds of Sudanese families in the Red Sea city of Port Sudan on Thursday.
The third phase of the organization’s aid project in Sudan aims to support food security, alleviating suffering caused by the conflict that began in April 2023, and which has so far resulted in millions of displaced people.
KSrelief delivered 650 food baskets in Port Sudan as part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid to those in need around the world, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
Since being set up in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 3,879 projects in 109 countries, at a total cost exceeding $8.2 billion.
Its efforts cover key sectors such as food security, health, education, water and sanitation, shelter, and early recovery.
