OTTAWA: Canada’s foreign ministry on Tuesday called Israel’s new ground offensive in Gaza City “horrific.”
“It worsens the humanitarian crisis and jeopardizes the release of the hostages,” the foreign ministry said in a post on X. “The Government of Israel must adhere to international law.”
MOSCOW: Russian authorities said a 10-year-old child was killed Tuesday in a stabbing by a fellow student in a school in the Odintsovo District near Moscow, with the suspect now apprehended.
“Police received a report that a student had stabbed a security guard, sprayed pepper spray and then stabbed a 10-year-old student, who died from his wound,” local police said on Telegram, adding that “the attacker was detained” and taken into custody.
