KSrelief official attends key meeting in Jeddah

JEDDAH: Ahmed Al-Baiz, assistant supervisor general for operations and programs at Saudi aid agency KSrelief, participated in the meeting of the Lives and Livelihoods Fund Impact Committee at the Islamic Development Bank headquarters in Jeddah.

Al-Baiz highlighted the renewed commitment of donors to the fund's second phase and outlined three key priorities: ensuring the quality of projects, enhancing donor engagement to attract new partners, and accelerating the completion of the LLFI portfolio.

The meeting concluded with the chairmanship of the committee being passed from KSrelief to the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, as scheduled.

Saudi leadership offers condolences after flooding in Morocco

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent cables of condolences to Moroccan King Mohammed VI following the flash flood in the Moroccan coastal city of Safi that killed at least 37 people.

The African nation experienced heavy rain and snow over the weekend, and authorities have warned of similar conditions in the coming days.

King Salman expressed his deepest condolences to the king, the families of the deceased and people of Morocco.
