UNITED NATIONS: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned Israel’s air strikes on Syria Wednesday as the country puts pressure on Damascus to protect the Druze minority following clashes.

“The Secretary-General further condemns Israel’s escalatory airstrikes on Suweida, Daraa and in the center of Damascus, as well as reports of the IDF’s redeployment of forces in the Golan,” Guterres’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.

Norway warns Gaza ceasefire ‘fragile,’ urges swift deployment of stabilization force

DOHA: Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said on Saturday that the Gaza stabilization force and the Board of Peace must be put in place this month, adding that the current ceasefire was “fragile and cannot hold for many more weeks in its current phase.”
Speaking at the Doha Forum in Qatar, he said the international stabilization force needed to function as a peacekeeping force.
