KSrelief dispatches aid trucks, shelter kits to Sudanese flood victims

RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief has dispatched 21 trucks carrying 23,000 food parcels and 3,464 shelter kits to Sudan to help those in need after the recent flash floods.

The Nile River and Northern states are suffering from severe weather conditions that have caused widespread loss of lives and property.

The Saudi ambassador attended a ceremony at the Sudanese Red Sea port of Suakin, along with representatives of relief organizations and national partners.

The aid is provided as part of the Saudi relief air bridge, operated by KSrelief to assist the Sudanese people.

Iranian FM calls Saudi counterpart ahead of nuclear talks with US

LONDON: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, ahead of critical nuclear talks with the United States.
During the call on Wednesday, they discussed the importance of resolving differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, as well as the efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Regional powers have pushed for talks, scheduled for Friday in Oman, between Iran and the US to reach an agreement regarding Tehran’s nuclear program and prevent another escalation in the region.
In an X post on Wednesday, Araghchi wrote: “Nuclear talks with the United States are scheduled to be held in Muscat on about 10 a.m. Friday.
“I’m grateful to our Omani brothers for making all necessary arrangements.”
