Saudi Arabia’s King Salman to be treated for lung inflammation

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman will undergo a treatment programme for a lung inflammation, Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

The treatment will consist of a course of antibiotics at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The king underwent medical tests at the royal clinics at the palace earlier on Sunday after he suffered from a high temperature and joint pain, SPA said.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman left the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh on Friday night, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The king had been undergoing medical examinations at the hospital, SPA reported earlier.

The report added that the results of the examinations were “reassuring.”
