NEOM McLaren Formula E team inspires Saudi talent

NEOM McLaren Formula E drivers, Jake Hughes and Sam Bird, as well as Team Principal Ian James, visited NEOM last week, ahead of the Diriyah E-Prix on Jan. 26-27. As part of their visit, the team took part in a Q and A session with around 80 NEOM graduates from all different disciplines, on the theme of high performance and talent development.

NEOM Graduate Opportunities in Work Program currently employs more than 200 graduates, across all sectors and in a range of functionalities. This is one of the ways NEOM is realizing its commitment to developing first-class talent to play a key role in the organization’s future and in realizing the ambitions of Vision 2030.

The NEOM McLaren Electric Racing partnership is built from a shared commitment from the two organizations to realizing a better future. It also serves to provide knowledge transfer and talent development opportunities for current and future NEOM employees.

One example of the partnership in practice is through the bespoke NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Talent Program. The program enables NEOM graduates secondment opportunities at McLaren Racing in the UK, with the aim of developing Saudi talent through hands-on experience within a world-renowned high-performance organization.

Currently in its first year, there are four GrOW specialists taking part in the NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Talent Program, each on a one-year secondment at McLaren Technology Center in the UK.
