RIYADH: US rock band OneRepublic performed at the Formula E Diriyah E-Prix on Friday — the first night of the two-day event in Riyadh.
The audience erupted in cheers as the group took the stage, their voices harmonizing in unison with the crowd.
The six-piece band wowed fans with hits such as “Secrets,” “Good Life,” “Stop and Stare,” and many more.
During the songs, a sea of twinkling flashlights illuminated the atmosphere, enhancing the emotional ambiance.
Adding to the spectacle, the night sky was lit with a dazzling display of fireworks, a fitting celebration for the stellar performance by the group.
“We wanted to come back to Riyadh. This is perfect,” vocalist Ryan Tedder said. “Thank you for the weather, this is amazing.”
Swedish DJ Axwell also performed on Friday. His music electrified the crowd with pulsating beats and dynamic mixes, creating an unforgettable and energizing experience.
And Lebanese pop sensation Nancy Ajram took to the stage to perform fan-favorites such as “Hobbak Saffah,” “Sah Sah,” “Ah W Noss” and “Salamat.”
OneRepublic first rose to fame in the mid-2000s with the hit single “Apologize,” which sold more than 20 million copies, earning a Grammy nomination and helping the band’s debut album “Dreaming Out Loud” sell more than two million. More recently, their track “I Ain’t Worried” was featured on the “Top Gun: Maverick” soundtrack.
They have released five studio albums, with another on the way, and have reached more than 5 billion streams on Spotify.
This will not be OneRepublic’s first time in the Kingdom. In 2022, they performed at AlUla’s Maraya, the world’s largest mirrored building.
