Saudi FM discusses Gaza with Dutch counterpart, EU’s Borrell

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed the situation in Gaza with his Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot in Al-Ula on Monday.

The two discussed developments in the situation in Gaza and the efforts made to deal with its humanitarian repercussions.

Additionally, the ministers touched on bilateral relations between their countries and ways to strengthen them.

Also on Monday, Prince Faisal met with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell in AlUla.

The two sides discussed ties between Saudi Arabia and the EU, along with the situation in Gaza and the efforts made toward ending the crisis, especially at the humanitarian level.

State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed efforts to prevent the Gaza conflict from spreading during a meeting with Borrell in Saudi Arabia after arriving in the Kingdom on Monday.

Saudi FM arrives in Germany ahead of Munich Security Conference

  • Prince Faisal and other dignitaries are scheduled to discuss key regional and international issues, as well as challenges facing global security and stability

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Munich on Thursday to head the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the Munich Security Conference, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Kingdom's delegation to the conference includes Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority Majed bin Mohammed Al-Mazyed, and CEO of the Center for Strategic Defense Studies and Research Major General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Otaibi.

Prince Faisal and other dignitaries are scheduled to discuss key regional and international issues, as well as challenges facing global security and stability at the conference.

The 62nd Munich Security Conference will take place from February 13 to 15.
