Leaders of Niger, Gambia arrive in Saudi Arabia ahead of Saudi-African summit

  • African leaders are arriving in the Kingdom for the forthcoming Saudi-Africa summit

JEDDAH: Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine of Niger and President Adama Barrow of Gambia arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

Zeine was met at the King Abdulaziz International Airport by deputy governor of Makkah region, Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and several other Saudi officials.

Barrow was received by deputy governor of Riyadh region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz and other officials on his arrival at King Khalid International Airport.

The Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji, received in Riyadh the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, who arrived for the Saudi-African Summit.
The ministers discussed ways to boost bilateral ties across all fields, and explored key regional and international issues of common interest.

African leaders are arriving in the Kingdom for the forthcoming Saudi-Africa summit.

Saudi crown prince receives written message from president of Tanzania

  • The letter, about relations between the countries, is delivered by Tanzania’s foreign minister during a meeting with the Kingdom’s deputy foreign minister

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a written message on Tuesday from President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania about relations between their countries.

It was delivered by Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Tanzania’s foreign minister, and accepted on the crown prince’s behalf by Waleed Elkhereiji, the Kingdom’s deputy minister of foreign affairs.

During their meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, the ministers discussed bilateral relations and ways in which they might be enhanced in all sectors, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
