RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on Monday received a phone call from his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad.

During the call, the ministers discussed bilateral relations and the current military escalation in Gaza.

The ministers emphasized the need to defuse tensions and find just solutions to protect civilians and mitigate the repercussions of the crisis.
