RABAT: The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, in partnership with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, will hold an international forum in Rabat next Monday on the role of culture and arts in combating crime and extremism.
Officials and experts from the ministries of interior, justice, social affairs, media and culture in Arab countries, as well as representatives from regional and international organizations, will participate in the forum, along with researchers from universities and specialized institutions.
The three-day forum aims to examine the role of artistic and cultural work in preventing crime and rehabilitating individuals with criminal and terrorist backgrounds to aid their reintegration into society.
It will also highlight the importance of cultural and artistic content in promoting coexistence among individuals, peoples and civilizations, as well as review the best Arab, regional and international practices and experiences in this field.
