Saudi Arabia continues Ramadan aid programs worldwide

  • The Kingdom’s iftar program was also launched in the capital of Chad, N’Djamena, with the aim of helping 50,000 individuals break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan

RIYADH: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché of the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan, inaugurated King Salman’s programs for iftar and the distribution of dates and copies of the Qur’an.

Pakistani Minister of Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan for the continuous support provided by the Kingdom to those in need in Pakistan.

In Ethiopia, Saudi Ambassador Dr. Fahd bin Obaidullah Al-Hamidani inaugurated the iftar project and distributed food baskets and copies of the Holy Qur’an.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim Tufa, chairman of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council; Saud Al-Ghuwairi, the cultural attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Ethiopia and the project’s supervisor; and a number of officials.

The Kingdom’s iftar program was also launched in the capital of Chad, N’Djamena, with the aim of helping 50,000 individuals break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Chad Basil bin Abdullah Al-Rayes affirmed that the program is an extension of the Kingdom’s pioneering role in serving Muslims through humanitarian work. He extended his thanks to the employees of the religious attaché office in N’Djamena for their efforts to make the program a success.

In Jordan, Saudi Ambassador Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi held a Ramadan iftar banquet in the presence of senior officials and ministers of the Jordanian government.

The iftar banquet was attended by Speaker of the Jordanian Senate Faisal Al-Fayez, former Prime Minister Taher Al-Masri, Jordanian Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Ibrahim Jazi, and Jordanian Minister of Interior Mazin Al-Farrayeh.

Prince Faisal chairs first meeting of Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute board

RIYADH: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, chaired the Institute’s first Board of Directors meeting following its reconstitution, it was reported on Sunday.

At the outset of the meeting, Prince Faisal congratulated dignitaries, members of the board, on the issuance of the Cabinet decision to reconstitute the institute’s board, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting reviewed the institute’s vision and core objectives, along with its strategic programmes and mechanisms for developing its work in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, SPA added.

Discussions also focused on the institute’s role in building national diplomatic capabilities, enhancing human resources, and supporting the Kingdom’s active and influential presence on the international stage.
