King Salman approves distribution of one million copies of Holy Quran abroad during Ramadan

  • The copies will include different sizes and translations in over 76 languages
  • The copies of the holy book will be given to Islamic centers in 22 countries

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman approved the distribution of one million copies of the holy Qur’an abroad during the month of Ramadan on Sunday.

The copies will include different sized copies of the Qur’an and translations of the holy book in more than 76 languages.

The copies, printed by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in Madinah, will be given to Islamic centers in 22 countries.

Preparations to ship the copies of the holy book in order to guarantee that they will arrive in time for Ramadan have started, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh said.

Saudi crown prince receives written message from Oman sultan

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received on Thursday a written message from Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq concerning relations between their countries.
The message was received on behalf of the crown prince by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji during a meeting in Riyadh with Oman’s ambassador to the Kingdom Sayyid Najib bin Hilal bin Saud Al-Busaidi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Saudi-Omani relations and ways to enhance them in various fields were reviewed during the meeting. Topics of common interest were also discussed.
