Saudi Falcons Club to host international exhibition, auction

RIYADH: The Saudi Falcons Club is hosting the Saudi International Falcon Hunting & Exhibition and the International Falcon Breeders Auction between Aug. 25 and Sept. 3 as part of its 2022 activities calendar at Mulham, north of Riyadh.

About 400 falcon exhibitors from around the world will take part in the exhibition, which will focus on the inspection, selling and buying of falcons. All transactions will be completed through a Saudi Falcons Club online portal according to the organization’s rules and regulations.

The exhibition, the largest of its kind in the world, will include an area for displaying falcons, sections for arts and family interaction, shooting ranges, a heritage village, a corner for future falconers and a digital museum, among other attractions.

The last edition of the exhibition achieved great success, with more than 350 exhibitors from 30 countries taking part. The event attracted more than half a million visitors.

The International Falcon Breeders Auction provided a secure market for falcon trading by attracting elite falconers from around the world in a transparent event.

The Saudi Falcons Club is the Kingdom’s premier organization in showcasing the development and rearing of falcons, as well as preserving and promoting falconry as a cultural mission.

Saudi crown prince discusses regional situation with Ukrainian, Spanish leaders

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held phone calls with global leaders to discuss the regional escalation and its repercussion on global peace and security.

In his discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the crown prince was assured of Kyiv’s solidarity and support to measures the Kingdom was taking to protect its territory, SPA reported.

Zelensky also condemned Iran’s attacks against Saudi Arabia.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also expressed his country’s condemnation of the Iranian’s attacks on the Kingdom during his call with the crown prince.

Sanchez also emphasized his country’s rejection of any action that threatens Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty and affirmed Spain’s support for all measures to preserve it.
