JEDDAH — Kamal “Kim” Lomondot, the third Filipino jailed for texting hate messages to Ambassador Rafael Seguis, was deported yesterday. He was seen off by a Philippine Consulate official at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport.
Lomondot was deported with his wife Mariam Sirikit and four children, including their two-day old baby boy Abdulhakim.
Lomondot was among the three detained by local authorities for 110 days. He could not be deported with the two others - Abulkhair “Bong” Guro and Rawi-ani “Winston” Usman two days ago as his wife had just then delivered a baby.
All three deportees are from the Lanao area in the southern Philippines.
Lomondot, who is in his late thirties, had been a resident in Jeddah for 15 years, working as an architect.
Lomondot was secretary-general of Ranao Divers Club, vice president for finance of Ranao Professionals Association, and member of the board of directors of the Association of Ranao Engineers and Architects.
