RIYADH: The Royal Jordanian Airlines needs $388 million to restructure its capital and cover accumulated losses, its CEO Sameer Majali told a parliamentary committee in Amman, CH Aviation reported.
Majali told the parliamentary committee that $282.5 million is needed to address its capital deficit.
He added that the company lost $104.8 million in 2021, which took the total accumulated losses to $453 million.
Calling for urgent support from the government, Majali revealed that the airline is also battling fuel price hikes and other related expenses.
