RIYADH: Augustus Media, a Dubai-based media company, has acquired CamPlus Sports that streams live matches and on-demand recordings to make local sports more accessible to viewers.
CamPlus Sports, the Dubai-based sports integrator, will be assigned to Smashi TV, an Augustus Media-owned live-streaming service that operates in the Middle East.
The acquisition will allow Augustus Media to grow in the sports streaming sector after getting multiple broadcast rights from the UAE Sports Federation and will provide Smashi TV with sports content by rebranding CamPlus Sports to Smashi Sports.
