Saudi international dental conference to get underway

RIYADH: The Saudi Dental Society is organizing the upcoming International Saudi Dental Conference being held under the patronage of Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar.

The three-day event, taking place at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel from Thursday, is expected to attract more than 50 local and international speakers through 20 workshops and 50 scientific lectures accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The 33rd edition of the conference is being staged with participation from the Ministry of Health, represented by the General Administration of Dentistry, as well as a scientific partnerships with the World Dental Federation, International Association for Dental Research in the Saudi section, the BDA for conventions and exhibitions, and several specialized Saudi dental societies.

Delegates will discuss developments in the sector, and review the latest technologies in treating dental diseases, forms of diagnosis, and medicines in the field.

King Salman launches housing donation campaign

RIYADH: King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have launched a “Generosity from Us and Within Us” housing campaign, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The leaders have donated a total of SR150 million ($40 million) to provide housing for families in need.

Municipalities and Housing Minister Majed Al-Hogail thanked the leaders for their continued support for housing initiatives across the Kingdom.

He highlighted the significant impact of previous generous donations in achieving developmental housing targets.
