Saudi crown prince congratulates Japanese PM on reelection

  • Fuimop Kishida was re-elected as Japan's prime minister on Wednesday after his governing party scored a major victory in key parliamentary elections

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman congratulated Saturday Japan’s prime minister on his re-election.

In a statement issued by state agency SPA, Salman congratulated Fumio Kishida on the occasion of his re-election as Japan’s Prime Minister, wishing him “every success and the friendly people of Japan steady progress and prosperity.”

Kishida was re-elected as Japan's Prime Minister on Wednesday after his governing party scored a major victory in key parliamentary elections.

Saudi ambassador meets Yemen detainee negotiating delegation

RIYADH: Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber met with a negotiating delegation concerned with detainees in the country on Thursday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the meeting in Riyadh, the ambassador commended the significant efforts by the negotiating team, which recently culminated in an agreement.

He also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s continued support for the complete release of all detainees, abductees and forcibly disappeared persons from all parties.

During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of completing implementation procedures, exchanging lists and records, and expediting the execution of the agreed mechanism for the exchange process.
