RIYADH: A second plane carrying humanitarian aid from Saudi Arabia arrived in the Algerian capital, Algiers, on Thursday.
The aid, which was sent in implantation of directives from King Salman, includes food, shelter and medical supplies and is being sent by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
The Kingdom set up an air bridge and sent the first plane on Wednesday and will help the north African country cope with the aftermaths of devastating fires that ravaged several cities and killed at least 90 people, including 30 soldiers.

BAHA: The Baha Winter Festival is seeing growing demand for winter camps and gatherings in open areas, public parks, and rural farms in the region, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The camps, which benefit from Baha’s mild climate and mountainous landscape, have become a popular destination for family gatherings and social events during the winter season.

Set up with traditional tents and decorated with authentic patterns and colors, the camps are spread over several locations.

They reflect the region’s social heritage and cultural identity and embody the rural lifestyle traditionally associated with winter, the SPA added.

The camps and gatherings boost seasonal tourism by attracting visitors seeking nature and local hospitality, while supporting related activities such as traditional markets and handicrafts.

They are monitored and regulated by authorities to ensure visitor safety, provide essential services, comply with environmental standards, and preserve natural sites.

Featuring more than 250 events and organized by over 40 government and private entities, the festival enhances the region’s reputation as a key winter tourism destination.

It will continue until Ramadan and features activities spanning tourism, heritage, and agriculture, inviting residents from throughout the Kingdom to take part.
