Yemen’s president meets Saudi deputy defense minister

  • They discussed efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis

RIYADH: Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi met with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman in the capital, Riyadh, on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in Yemen.
Prince Khalid conveyed greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Hadi, and their wishes for further progress and stability for the Yemeni people.
“We discussed the latest developments in Yemen, the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, and efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to end the crisis and achieve security and stability in Yemen,” Prince Khalid said in a tweet following the meeting.

Saudi FM arrives in Germany ahead of Munich Security Conference

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Munich on Thursday to head the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the Munich Security Conference, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Kingdom's delegation to the conference includes Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority Majed bin Mohammed Al-Mazyed, and CEO of the Center for Strategic Defense Studies and Research Major General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Otaibi.

Prince Faisal and other dignitaries are scheduled to discuss key regional and international issues, as well as challenges facing global security and stability at the conference.

The 62nd Munich Security Conference will take place from February 13 to 15.
