DUBAI: A Russian battleship has entered Port Sudan days after it was announced that the Russian naval base project was suspended, Sudanese media reported Saturday.
It was reported that Sudan had suspended plans for Russia to open a naval logistics base in a key Red Sea port. The news was denied by Moscow.
AMMAN: The US embassy in the Jordanian capital Amman on Sunday urged staff to avoid the embassy compound, citing a risk that it could come under attack.
“The US Embassy in Jordan has instructed all Mission personnel to continue to shelter-in-place and avoid the US Embassy Amman compound, as it may be targeted,” it said in a statement.
It comes a day after the kingdom said a number of ballistic missiles were intercepted, as Iran retaliated with strikes across the region following US and Israeli attacks.
