Saudi health officials carry out 153,000 inspection tours

DAMMAM: The Eastern Province municipality has carried out more than 153,000 health inspection tours since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The checks were aimed at ensuring that businesses were adhering to health and safety precautionary measures and protocols.
A total of 4,375 violations of overcrowding in central markets were recorded, along with 12,988 breaches of health precautions in markets and malls. During the tours, inspectors closed down 192 enterprises due to their non-compliance with precautionary measures introduced to curb the spread of the virus.

JEDDAH: Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi attended a ceremony in Jeddah on Sunday to mark Kuwait’s National Day.

Prince Saud was received by Kuwait’s Consul General Yousef Abdullah Al-Tunaib and other consulate officials, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah, and members of the diplomatic corps, were also in attendance.
