Over 400 students to take part in NEOM contest launched by Saudi authority

RIYADH: Over 400 male and female university students in the Kingdom will take part in the “NEOM AI Challenge” launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

It is an initiative under the Global AI Summit, which aims to find innovative and sustainable solutions to ensure a hassle-free life in NEOM.

It is part of the government’s efforts to increase awareness about artificial intelligence and encourage Saudi youth to think innovatively.

Students from 39 Saudi universities are taking part in the challenge. SDAIA will host the competition at King Abdul Aziz International Conference in Riyadh on Sept. 16.

RIYADH: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his Kuwait counterpart Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah have condemned Iran’s attacks on the GCC countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.

In a telephone call on Thursday, they said the attacks violate their countries’ sovereignty, security and safety, with similar repercussions for the region and world.

After the US and Israel launched an assault on Iran on Saturday, Tehran responded by attacking several countries.
